As Kaka Sridhar comes down, feeling that he is the first to come down before others, he sees the partition line covered with flowers, and then sees Naina at work. He calls his sister in law, and draws her attention to the decoration, and she with a sullen face, notices that this was done by Naina. She asks her family to get ready, but in the meanwhile two guests arrive and Naina calls them over to her side, to seat them on the sofa, and they cross the flowers by raising their feet, so that they do not disturb the flower arrangement. Vibha asks her sister in law to pay attention to her guests, receives her abject surrender of her ego to help her out. When more guests arrive they notice the difference in the decoration in the two sides, and the blame is put on Vedant. One lady asks Vibha to introduce her to her new daughter in law, but she is tongue tied, and Naina saves the day, by coming forward and wishing her. Some other guests remark, that Vibha has been hurt by h er son, for getting married without her consent, but they being young can not understand the attitude of the parents. When the giving of the gifts starts, Shyamal is the first to give her gift, and Rohini looks at it and makes a sarcastic remark, about her ability to buy a decent gift, and she says, it was made by hand and that she does not want to use it, as it might cause allergy. But Kaki says, that it is cotton and soothing. Kaka gets offended, and Vedant asks his mother why she did not give her an answer. He too is itching to retaliate.

Naina is watching from her side, with a grin on her face trying to show that she too is a part of the celebration. As the grand mother gets all of them down for the puja, the pandit arrives and the ceremony starts. When the name has to be decided Ayee suggests the name "Atharva" and Sanket agrees whole heartedly. Soldiers Rate The Best New Combat Gear -- Army Times

Army Times asked soldiers from Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment, to evaluate the gear tested during the Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiment in Fort Benning, Ga.

Soldiers rated the gear on a five-star scale, with five stars as the top rating. None of the items got a one-star rating.

Gov. Corbett suggests that Second Mile groomed children for Jerry Sandusky.

Chris Wallace, on Fox News Sunday, did an excellent job of drawing out Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett, who, bound by ethical restraints, was trying to be circumspect. Here's a key moment in the colloquy. Wallace has just asked Corbett about the Second Mile charity "that Jerry Sandusky helped form for disadvantaged kids that quite frankly gave him access to these young boys."
WALLACE: Should actions be taken against the charity or the CEO who allegedly was told about some of these abuses as far back 2002?

CORBETT: ... I'm going to be very careful here....  If you talk to people who have worked with Second Mile, it has done great work.... But in this case, as the allegations indicate, some of it was used to pick on some children and the term was used, grooming, groom those children for Mr. Sandusky's purposes.
Did Corbett just reveal that there were other individuals within Second Mile who functioned in grooming children for Sandusky?

Corbett also appeared on "Meet the Press" this morning, and I thought David Gregory was much less successful in breaking through Corbett's controlled facade. It was interesting to compare these 2 interviews. Gregory expressed outrage on behalf of the children. ("You have to understand people, those of us who are parents, including myself, I have a nine-year-old boy at home....") Wallace, by contrast, came off at first — to my ear — as a Paterno fanboy. ("But, Governor, let me point out -- these are just allegations. Joe Paterno, who had spent half a century at Penn State, did not have an opportunity to offer a full defense. Why not let him finish his season and retire as he offered to do?")
